Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences
The Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was founded in 1953; in 1982, the Institute of Metal Corrosion and Protection of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established.
In 1999, the Institute of Primary Metals and the Institute of Corrosion and Protection of Primary Metals were integrated to establish a new "Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences" and entered the "Northeast High Performance Materials Research and Development Base" of the Knowledge Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
